The small keyboard icon, appearing on the main view, when tapped, opens Newton’s keyboard. If you prefer using the keyboard to enter words and phrases to be translated, tap on the keybaord icon. At any time, you can close the keyboard and return to writing directly into the translation field.

A keyboard button also appears on the large translation view and has the same purpose.
