This package adds two new actions to the action (routing) button on the Notepad called "Select All" and "Paste". When you choose "Select All" from the pop-up, all of the text on that note is selected and hilited. This includes text that is currently off the screen. Once the text is selected you can do the normal move and copy operations or use the Styles button in the extras drawer to change the style of the text. If you use the pen to move or copy the text to the side of the screen but the total selection is larger than the total screen you won't be able to move the text back to the notepad. This is where Paste comes in handy. If you select Paste the current clipboard object(s) is (are) pasted to the end of that note. You can paste anything that is in the clipboard, using the Paste action, not just text captured with "Select All". Once the clipboard object is pasted, it is cleared (i.e. it is an move operation and not a copy.) Apple hasn't provided a way for developers to select graphics objects programmatically. This means that the Select All action only works on text. There is a partial workaround to this limitation though. If the graphics object is on the same page as the Action button you can first use the Select All action to select all of the text, then hilite the graphics object. The graphics object should then be added to the hilited selection. You can also try it the other way around, select the graphic first, then use select all. If neither of these workarounds does the trick, try moving just the graphic to a point a little closer to some text. This might cause the Newton OS to add the graphic to the hilite selection.
